Showing Their Creativity

The love for arts and craft will always run in our family. In fact, my 2 older brothers has been winning in many national painting and arts competitions here in our country and that is something we are truly proud of. Just recently, my bro won another national art competition but I will make a separate post on that.

While our family tends to love arts, the family of my friend are showing their creativity through music. I can still remember my friend used to always sing and dance at our school fares during our primary and secondary years and even up to now. Her father is a band member playing the guitar while another brother of her is a member of a local band that use to play during fiestas and all. I am guessing that more members of their family are musically inclined as well just like they do.

My brothers usually buy their art supplies at local art shops while my friend's family got their at music stores locally and even online. I need to tell them this for they can get real good discounts just in case they need to invest.

Hard Disk Problem

My barely 2-year old HP desktop just went crazy the other week leaving me with no choice but to reformat it. At first I was trying to system restore it but it would not carry the operation.

I have no choice but to reformat the computer but I was able to save some of the files that I have. Fortunately, I also have a backup files on my EHD (external hard drive) where most of my photos and files are there. If I didn't back up, for sure I will be crying crazy.

Just the other day, this message appears before me and oh I'm not prepared for this.. yay! My desktop is barely 2 years old and I've been taking care of it the whole time, telling my niece who likes to tinker with it to refrain from downloading or doing some other stuff there.

I have my pc checked yesterday and it seems that my pc can't be repaired anymore. My technician told me to just use it till the hard disk will no longer work.. wahhh.. I just hope it will work fine for more months or maybe years because I don;t want to shell out money at this point..

This is the message that is appearing from time to time.... time is ticking yay!

The Little Drummer Boy

I always admire people who has a talent in music whether be it in singing, making songs or even playing any musical instruments. I have once tried playing the guitar when I was younger but I got no patience for it so I end up not learning at all. The piano is also tempting to learn but I never really got so interested in joining a class or something and the only thing that I can play on piano is the "De-Re-Mi" song lol which is just basic.

My friend's son is into musical instruments and she even enrolled his son on a drum class where he can hone his skills in music and also to develop his confidence. I guess they can save on dynasty drums at guitar center if they want to buy a quality drum that he can use to practice at home. Who knows one day her son will turn out to be one of the respected musical artist in the country.

Get Up, Move and Exercise!

I woke up a bit early this morning and it was gloomy, perfect time to walk, breathe some fresh air and exercise. I munch a piece of bread first before going out because it's not nice to work out when you are so hungry. I wore my black leggings, a shirt and my rubber shoes and as soon as my dog saw me, she got excited for she knows we're going out. We walked in our neighborhood for about 15 mins. and from time to time I jog while Sophie just wanted to sniff around hehe. I gave her some privilege of doing that since she also needs to smell doggie scents.  Since the 5 dogs of my neighbor are always following and annoying use every time that we are out then it's also the chance for her to socialize.

A 15-minute walking is enough for us but how'd I wish I can do more. After walking, I got my bike and went biking for a good 30 mins.. Sophie was crying and begging me to put her leash back and go with me while biking but it's impossible. Anyway, after biking, it's now time for my 10-min booty exercise in our living room. I found a nice booty and waist workout in Youtube and I have been following it since January.

There are times that I exercise every day but when my lazy mode attacks, once a week is good enough for me since I am not that big anyway. After every exercise, I feel energized and lively.

I'm also wishing to upgrade my workout wardrobe and replace my ordinary t-shirt to a more comfy one. There's no more reason not to be healthy, young/adults, fat or thin can always do any exercise even at the comforts of your home. You don;t need to go to the gym just to exercise for you can do alone in your home. To make you inspired to exercise, esp those on a plus size, try to browse junonia for plus size activewear that you can use when you workout. Sometimes, having proper workout wear can inspire you to keep moving.

Rainy Season 2013

It's official... it's RAINY SEASON now!

PAG-ASA already announced the start of the rainy months for us and it only means that it's going to be wet, wet, wetlandia again here in Pinas. In fact, the recent typhoon just left the Phil. Area of Responsibility today but it will still be rainy. As of this writing, it is still raining for over an hour now here in our area.

Government agencies are also preparing to ensure the safety of the people for the upcoming floods. We are just praying that no more Ondoy like typhoon with massive destruction due too much rain that will put danger many people.

So, don't forget to bring your umbrellas, jacket, hat etc. because it will be rainy most of the days. Rainy seasons will last up until October or early November.

Today, classes and other offices in Manila have suspended their classes and offices due to monsoon rains.

Today, June 12, 2013 marks the15th Philippine Independence Day. Our Independence from Spanish rule is proclaimed on June 12, 1898 in kawit Cavite by General Emilio Aguinaldo, the first President of the Phils.

Cleaned and Organized my Closet

Finally, I found time to clean my closet!

This morning, our clothes washer arrived in the house because we already have mountain loads of clothes to be washed. I also instructed her to take all the bed sheets and all the curtains so it can be washed as well. While taking out some hangers for her, I took the time to clean and organize my closet for it's already overflowing.

Blame it on my spending on clothes last summer that is why I have no more hangers and place in my closet. I folded and segregate all the shirrs and other clothes that I have that I will not use anymore so I can sell it on our garage sale on December. I was a bit shocked to see all the clothes that I have accumulated all this years and it's time to part ways on some of them.

Not quite sure if all the other clothes that being washed can still fit in my small closet .. yay!

This Should not Happen

I'm pretty overwhelmed right now. Not sure if that is the right word for what I am feeling today. I have so many ideas or thoughts in my mind but it seems that I can't write it down properly. It seems I am lost of words at the moment. With so many blogs that I have right now, I jumping from one niche to another. Sometimes I'm feeling lazy, tired or maybe burned out on blogging.. Ahhh.. this should not happen!

I need to keep my thoughts and blogging mojo, if not, I will have lose some opportunities that I needed badly.

School Year 2013 - 2014

School Year 2013 - 2014 for most students especially in public schools has started today June 3, 2013. As early as 6 am, students (some with the parents) have gone back to school, some are excited while others still have hangover from summer school break. Those that are first timers in school would not want their mom/dad out of their sight. Parents are permitted to be in the vicinity of the room for only one week and after that they will not be allowed anymore. Those that are crying and having tantrums will give their teachers a hard time but I know teachers can handle such situations.

My nephew who is in 4th year highschool is back in his school already and I'm sure he is excited as well. Meanwhile, my niece who is in 4th grade went to school this morning only to find out that their classes will start on Wednesday the 5th of June. It was so funny because she went back home with her mom and dad when they found out about the schedule. Her mom made a mistake about the date. I was teasing my niece but she kept on laughing and smiling talking about what happened.

I'm wishing that my niece and nephew will do good in their studies this year esp. for my niece who had the habit of becoming lazy most of the times hehe/

How they Stopped Smoking

Smoking has been part of the lives of my 2 older brothers for decades. Since highschool when they learned to smoke and up until they got kids they are smokers. Addicted to smoking if I can say but not that heavy smokers unlike many other who puffs different brands of cigars till they drop. I know they been hearing from us that they need to stop while they are still young and fit but hey they don;t listen.

They smoke until they realized that their bodies are suffering already. My other brother experience coughing tremendously that he is the one who decided to lessen his smoking up until he decided to quit it. His doctors advices also helped but the coughs got him real deep. He doesn't want to end up with lung cancer for his children are still young. Truth knocks him out and thankfully he is not smoking anymore for the last 5 years or so.
Meanwhile, my oldest brother got the scare of his life about 2 years ago when he got experience a mild stroke after eating too much meat full of cholesterol. He was then confined at the hospital and was so scared for his life. after recovering, he vowed not to smoke again and lessen his fatty food intake.

Good for my 2 brothers for they still value their lives and their family. They don't smoke anymore after they realized that they need to value their health.
